Happy Friday Westerners😃

Today was the first Red Ticket Drawing day of the new school year and pictured below are the students who had their name drawn at our opening assembly.

Students earn tickets throughout the week for showing their RRPK behaviors by being Respectful, Responsible, Prepared, and Kind.

Each Friday, names are drawn from all Red Tickets earned from the current week and students are recognized by being able to select a prize.

Congrats to those who had their name drawn and keep up the great work.

‼️Congratulations to this year's Homecoming Royalty members.

☑️All high school students voted earlier today and selected these 12 seniors to the Homecoming Court.

📅Mark your calendar for this year's coronation, which will be held on Thursday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the elementary gym.

The best day of the school year kicked off today with the traditional flag raising ceremony.

Thank you to Legion Hoschtetler Post 186 members for helping us on this special day each year. This year we were honored to have the following Legion members in attendance: Arlo Rohlfs, Keith Swanson, Bob Brown, Tom Schneider, Russell Jacobson, Stan Rolfes, Garry Jacobson, and Kaylene Hawkins.

Thank you to Bekie Moffatt, Kaylene Hawkins, and Deb Bursell for providing the accompanying pictures of today's special event.

We had four high school seniors assisting with the raising of the flag of the State of Iowa and the flag of the United States of America. These four students attended Girls' or Boys' State this summer, gaining a deep understanding of government: Ainsley Naslund, Brianna Rolfes, Cameron Banks, and Carter Moffatt.
