Attention Akron Borough residents and travelers ⚠️

The fire company and public works staff from Akron Borough are aware that the fire hydrant on the corner of Broad Street and South 6th Street has a minor leak. It is still usable by the fire company if there is an emergency.

We appreciate the concern and sharp eyes of our townspeople, but a fire hydrant with a small leak does not warrant a call to the 911 center.

For all concerns regarding public utilities, such as water and sewer in Akron Borough, please call the borough office at 717-859-1600.
