We got the sweetest message from a citizen today about her recent contact with Sergeant John Plumb! 😊👮🏻‍♂️🚓

I just wanted to reach out so someone higher up knows how much we appreciate Officer John! I apologize that we didn’t catch a last name.

Today, at Target, my 4 year old son started chatting with Officer John. He went above and beyond and offered my son an opportunity to tour the police cruiser and gave him some badge stickers. It made my son’s day!

My childhood included a lot of police officers showing up to my home and seeing my biological mother arrested more times than I can count, so I grew up fearing any time an officer came close. I want my son to know he can trust the police, so I try to have him chat with officers and look at the cruisers at special events, but there are normally so many kids so he moves on quickly. Officer John taking time out of his day to give one-on-one attention to a child he had never met before who happened to start talking to him meant so much to me!

I really can’t thank him enough and truly appreciate Alabaster Police Department for hiring officers like this!
