Shelby County Schools Community Education This is the official page of the Shelby County Schools Community Education Department, which manages After School Care, Summer Camp, and Enrichment.

We are so glad that you have chosen Shelby County Schools Community Education
Program for your child care needs. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and caring
environment to foster physical, emotional and social growth in each child. Our
After School Care Program is housed in 16 Shelby County Elementary and
Intermediate Schools. We operate Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Our
Summer Camp

Program is located in various Shelby County Schools. We operate
Monday-Friday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. We will be closed May 25th (Memorial
Day) and July 3rd (Independence Day).

Parents, have you registered your child for After School Care? Some sites are nearing capacity and will be capped.

We will pause registration on Wednesday, July 30, to get rolls ready to send to the schools for the first day of school. This is a safety feature to ensure correct dismissal and transportation procedures. Registration will not reopen until the week of Aug. 11.

That’s a wrap on our Lights, Camera, Action 2025 Summer Camp!

This year, campers got a behind-the-scenes look at music and video production with help from DVRK Realm. They built a beat from scratch, helped write lyrics inspired by their favorite camp moments, and recorded the final track—complete with nods to Disney themes, favorite field trips, and more!

Then, they became the stars of their very own music video!

Huge shoutout to the campers who bravely stepped up to record verses and shine on camera—you crushed it!
