Our History Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A) was designated as an Area Agency on Aging in 1989. As our name indicates, M4A serves all consumers between Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker counties to serve older individuals. Since 1989, M4A and its mission have grown to serve caregivers and people with disabilities regardless of age.

Every four years the State of Alabama submits a State Plan on Aging to the Administration for Community Living (ACL) within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). Today, we are presenting to you the purpose of the 2021 – 2024 State Plan on Aging and how you can help. We want any senior citizen, person with a disability, caregiver, or anyone else listening to this recording to join the conversation and tell us about unmet needs in your communities and suggestions on how your needs can be better met because you are important to us. Join the conversation and share your feedback by May 13, 2020.

In case you missed it, our Alabama Cares program and PANDA Project teamed up to kick off the Coffee Break sessions on ZOOM on April 8th! Below is a recording of that session!
