APC Instructor Jon Rappa spent two days in Chattanooga, Tennessee, teaching Mastering Interview & Interrogation for Road Patrol to a fun and extremely engaged group of law enforcement officers at the University of Tennessee Police Department. 

A big thank you to Lt. Lloyd for helping coordinate the training and to everyone who came ready to participate, ask questions, and share their experiences.

Texas brings the heat 🥵 , but the leaders in the room brought the real passion 💪. Mike Schentrup (aka me) recently had the privilege of taking the stage at a conference in Lone Star State to facilitate a session on The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team—and the energy was unmatched.

We moved past the surface-level corporate speak and dove deep into what actually makes or breaks modern teams:

▶️ Trust: Building real, vulnerable trust where team members can admit mistakes without fear.

▶️ Conflict: Unpacking productive, passionate conflict focused on ideas, not personalities.

▶️ Commitment: Achieving total buy-in, even when team members initially disagree.

▶️ Accountability: Empowering peers to hold one another accountable to high standards.

▶️ Results: Sharpening focus on collective outcomes over individual ego.

The key takeaway? High-performing teams aren’t an accident. They’re built deliberately, choice by choice, conversation by conversation.
