So AHA wants to recognize our social services partner LifeSTEPS for connecting AHA tenants and programs participants to important social services and resources including Alameda Food Bank, Medical treatment, Rental assistance, transportation, trade school scholarships, just to name a few.

Beyond providing permanent housing for thousands of #CityofAlameda residents, Housing Authority of the City of Alameda also helps people overcome financial barriers and move into financial self-sufficiency via the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program. The #FSSProgram was designed to support tenants and voucher program participants by providing access to resources and by developing a #financialsavings plan. 23 FSS Program graduates have saved a combined total of $294,000. Any interested AHA tenant or program participant should contact the FSS Program at (510) 747-4337.

More great news to share, the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda was selected by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for admission to the Landlord Incentives Cohort of the #MovingtoWork (MTW) National Demonstration Program. AHA was one of only twenty-nine housing agencies from across the nation that was granted admission to the MTW cohort.

This Wednesday (Jan 26th) at 3:30pm the Alameda Recreation and Park Department and the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) are partnering to launch a mobile recreation program that will bring the #fun to AHA children.
