A Few Simple Rules
-We want to show the Bay Area some love, so only local entrants please.
-Entrants MUST be a SeaWest member (but don't worry it's never too late to join! Just $5 gets you started)
-Enrants must be active duty or a Veteran. We want to build some Bay Area comradery and will be seating you together with the other winners!
-Winners MUST show proof of COVID vaccine or a Negative Covid test (within 48hrs.) in order to be admitted inside the Chase Center.
Winners will be chosen in a random drawing Tuesday and announced by Tuesday evening, May 4th.

Coast Guard honored with DHS's first Outstanding Unit Award
In one of his final actions while in office, the former Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad F. Wolf established the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Outstanding Unit Award and presented the new award to the United States Coast Guard on Jan. 11.
The new DHS Outstanding Unit Award is a Department-level award, presented by the DHS secretary, similar to those presented by the secretaries of Defense and Transportation. The award recognizes units whose meritorious actions and operational impact distinguish them above the level of service unit commendation, in our case the Coast Guard Unit Commendation.

Each Holiday season our branch supports -AlamedaCounty
as a donating partner for their annual Angel Tree Campaign. The need has always been there. This year it happens to be greater. We are proud to serve those in our local community and partnering with other organizations in efforts to . Happy Holidays from our families to yours!
20 CGEA Branch members volunteered this month supporting the Alameda County Community Food bank! 2020 has been a challenging year resulting in the need for food assistance doubling in Alameda county. Thank you to all who participated!
Last week, 20 Branch members volunteered assisting the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland! Volunteers organized, packed emergency bags and sorted fresh produce. 2020 has been a challenging year resulting in the need for assistance doubling in Alameda County due to the pandemic. We had a blast at this year’s Harvest Festival. Even though it looked and felt different than years past, we came together as a team to pull of a great trunk or treat! Our inspiration this year was STRANGER THINGS! Thank you the Base Alameda MWR Staff and USCG Base Alameda for hosting a safe, family friendly event!!! Great job by our CGEA members who volunteered to create a great display!
