This summer, DrawBridge was thrilled to establish new partnerships with community organizations and offer free arts activities to Bay Area children and families. DrawBridge joined the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art Family Day in August, where families created collages inspired by the museum’s collection. DrawBridge also partnered with the Alameda Recreation and Park Department all summer as part of the Starlight Movies in the Park series. Alameda Recreation and Park Department Fall 2022 karate session I (Sep - Oct) starts on September 6th.
Ajari Dojo in Alameda is continuing to practice karate as was taught by Ajari Yoshiaki Sensei.
Ajari Sensei was a pioneer of Wado karatedo in USA and will always be remembered and missed by his students.
Wado Kai, meaning "the way of peace and harmony" is a traditional Japanese karate style that emphasizes natural movements, precision, timing, and is suitable for all ages.
Improve your flexibility and stamina, develop inner strength and calmness of character while learning how to react to any situation intuitively. Beginners welcome! Age: 8+

Thanks again to the Alameda Recreation and Park Department for bringing the fun to children that live at Housing Authority of the City of Alameda properties. This mobile recreation unit creates fun and unique activities. This week the kids had a blast playing fun games and creating popsicle stick catapults.
