Whether we were running, jogging, or walking, our team loved every minute of coming together to support such a fantastic foundation and an incredible cause.

The Alamo Police Department has officially concluded its participation in the national "Click It or Ticket" traffic safety mobilization.

Department leadership extends its sincere appreciation to the community members who consistently prioritize traffic safety by utilizing seatbelts and ensuring the safety of their passengers.

While this targeted enforcement period has come to an end, the department's dedication to traffic safety remains unwavering. The Alamo Police Department will continue its proactive enforcement of traffic laws and dedicated patrols to ensure that local roadways remain safe for all motorists and pedestrians.

The department reminds all drivers that compliance with seatbelt laws is one of the most effective measures to prevent injury and save lives. Traffic safety remains a continuous, year-round priority for our agency.

​The Alamo Police Department is stepping up traffic enforcement to keep our community safe! Thanks to a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), our officers will be increasing patrols specifically looking for seatbelt violations.

​Whether you are driving across town or just down the street, please remember to buckle up every single trip. Seatbelts save lives—it’s that simple.

​⚠️ A citation for failing to wear a seatbelt can carry a fine of up to $200.

​Let's work together to keep Alamo roads safe. Buckle up, drive safely, and look out for one another!

We especially recognize the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of our Alamo Police Department Officers, Dispatchers, and Staff who work tirelessly to keep our city safe. 🚔👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

We also pause to remember and honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their courage and legacy will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸🕯️

Due to the weather, today’s event is canceled. Please stay tuned for updates regarding a potential reschedule date.

Due to the severe storm and unsafe conditions caused by the weather, the Watermelon Festival has been officially postponed.

This decision was not made lightly. Over the past several days, countless hours of work, preparation, and dedication went into bringing this event to life for our community. Unfortunately, the storm caused significant damage to festival areas, equipment, and setup conditions, making it unsafe to continue as planned.

We are truly heartbroken and deeply disappointed, especially knowing how much this event means to so many families, vendors, performers, and staff members. However, the safety of our community will always come first.

This situation was completely outside of our control, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and support during this difficult moment.

The Watermelon Festival has been rescheduled for July 2.

Please stay safe, remain sheltered, and continue monitoring weather conditions. Thank you for standing with us through it all. ❤️🍉

Starting with Alaniz-Villagomez All-Inclusive Park, this initiative helps protect our children, families, and visitors while creating a safer environment for everyone.

More parks will be equipped soon as we continue working toward making Alamo one of the safest communities. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦📹
