A Great Day in Crockett County

The Honorable Judge Clayburn Peeples of the 28th Judicial District opened court this morning to swear in our newly elected officials for another term of service.

Our sincere thanks to Judge Peeples for setting aside this day to carry out such an important duty. He is a man of impeccable character who serves this district with dignity.

We are also grateful to General Frederick Agee for organizing the ceremony, the Alamo City School 6th graders who led the Pledge of Allegiance, Braxton Gibson for singing the National Anthem, and Stephen Sutton for leading us in prayer.

The courtroom was filled with community leaders, county commissioners, business owners, and the families of those taking office - a good reminder of the people behind every one of these positions.

May we always serve with integrity, putting the people of Crockett County first.
