📢 Important Update for Otero County Residents – 9-1-1 Addressing

Beginning January 1, 2026, all rural addressing services for Otero County will officially transition from the Otero County Assessor’s Office to the Tularosa Basin Regional Dispatch Authority (TBRDA).

What this means for you:
✅ All new address requests, updates, and addressing questions will now be handled directly through TBRDA
✅ This change improves 9-1-1 accuracy, emergency response, and streamlines the addressing process county-wide

Reminder: the last day to protest values or to add exemptions for the 2025 tax year is, Tuesday, May 6th, 2025

Just a reminder you have till Tuesday, March 6th, 2025 to contest any values, and add any exemptions for this 2025 tax year. Call 575-437-5310 or come down to the office @ 1104 N White Sands if you should have any questions.

The deadline to contest your value or add exemptions for the 2025 tax year is May 6th, 2025.

Notice: Due to statutory changes to the Veterans exemptions, Notice of Values will be mailed sometime the first week of April 2025. Ownership and mailing addresses will be current on NOVs through March 7th, 2025.

The Otero County Assessor’s office will be hosting the Veterans Services officer, David Henley, at the Otero County Administration building, Thursday, March 20th, 2025 from 9 am to 4 pm to assist veterans in applying for exemptions for the 2025 tax year. The event will be held in Room 101 at 1101 New York Ave, Alamogordo.
