NATIONAL AVIATION DAY

Today we celebrate the machines that fly, the people who keep them flying, and the crews who use aviation to make a difference.

For us, aviation is more than getting from Point A to Point B. It means reaching patients when minutes matter. It means crossing mountains, deserts, and hundreds of miles to bring critical care where it’s needed most. It means pilots, mechanics, clinicians, communication specialists, and countless others working together with one mission: get there safely and bring someone home.

At Native Air, we’re proud to be part of an industry that turned the impossible into everyday reality, and even prouder that we get to use aviation to serve our communities.

So today, look up. That aircraft in the sky might be carrying more than a crew.

It might be carrying someone’s second chance.

🚁 A BIG MILESTONE FOR CLOUDCROFT! 🚒❤️

Congratulations to Cloudcroft Fire Department, the Village of Cloudcroft, and the entire community on the opening of the new Cloudcroft helipad!

For a mountain community like Cloudcroft, this is so much more than a concrete landing pad. It’s a direct connection to lifesaving care when minutes matter most. A dedicated helipad gives air medical crews a safer, more reliable location to reach critically ill and injured patients and helps shorten the time between an emergency and the higher level of care a patient may need.

This project is also a powerful example of what can happen when a community comes together for a common purpose.

A very special recognition goes to Debbi McCurdy, whose significant fundraising efforts and dedication helped make this helipad a reality. Projects like this don’t happen without people willing to put in the time, energy, and heart to move them forward. Debbie’s contribution will have an impact far beyond today’s dedication, it will be felt every time this helipad helps connect a patient with lifesaving care.

To Cloudcroft Fire, the Village, Debbi and her family, and everyone who donated, supported, planned, built, or advocated for this project: congratulations and thank you for investing in the safety of your community.

There’s a new set of wings ready to answer the call for our teams

Native Air 33 is officially in service! Our new fixed wing plane based in Las Cruces! The new Pilatus PC-12 is expanding access to lifesaving critical care across New Mexico, Arizona, and West Texas

Native Air 33 is equipped with advanced critical care technology, whole blood, and the same industry-leading clinicians trusted across the White Sands and Energy Basin regions. The aircraft also offers increased capacity for specialized equipment and, when appropriate, the ability for a loved one to accompany the patient during transport.

When weather keeps helicopters on the ground, the PC-12 can often continue the mission, helping ensure patients still get where they need to go.

This is more than a new aircraft. It’s a stronger commitment to the communities we serve and another way we’re bringing critical care closer to home.

Wherever the call comes from… we’re ready.

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the communities we proudly serve, and the incredible men and women who have sacrificed to make it all possible.

It is an honor to serve the people of Alamogordo, Otero County, and the surrounding communities.

As you celebrate today, please be safe. Wear your seatbelt, stay hydrated, celebrate fireworks responsibly, and never hesitate to call 911 in an emergency.

From our Native Air 35 family to yours, we wish you a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July. Thank you for allowing us to serve this incredible community.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we remember the four members of the Trans Aero family who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Flight crews answer the call without hesitation, often on the worst days of someone else’s life. They accept the risks because they believe that every patient deserves a chance, every family deserves hope, and every mission matters.

To the families, friends, and coworkers of these four incredible professionals, please know that the entire air medical community mourns with you. Your loved ones were more than pilots and clinicians, they were teammates, mentors, friends, and heroes whose compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

May we honor their memory not only through our words, but by continuing to serve with the same courage, professionalism, and selflessness they demonstrated every day.

Fly high, brothers and sisters. Your final mission will never be forgotten. We have the watch from here.
