Now that summer has arrived, we’ve seen an increase in incidents involving dirt bikes being operated on public roadways where they are not authorized.

For everyone’s safety, please remember that dirt bikes and other off-highway vehicles are not permitted on public streets unless they are properly licensed and street legal. We encourage all riders to operate responsibly, obey traffic laws, and be mindful of others in the community.

Please ride safely, wear proper protective gear, and help us keep everyone safe this summer.

They have also been working on getting funding for the purchase of the boxes and funds to mount the boxes in the County buildings.

Attention Alamosa County homeowners and businesses! Please be cautious in choosing an unheard of or out-of-town contracting company if offered a "great last minute deal" including services such as asphalt, roofing, etc. Check with Alamosa County Land Use to see if the contractor is licensed before paying or signing anything. Always check references and be wary of scams.
