Your Alapaha firefighters spent this Saturday training for Pipeline Emergencies. One of the benefits of the Air Monitoring class is the department received a free gas monitor. These are paid by gas company monies and given to Fire Departments. Special thanks to Division Chief Chad Davis from Cherokee County Fire for being our instructor today

This past weekend your Alapaha firefighters were joined by members of the East Berrien Fire Department for a 2 day Vehicle Extraction class. Saturday was spent on classroom work and Sunday was all hands-on learning. A special shout out to Tim Dowdy and RARE automotive for getting us the cars to use.

Great training last night! Your Alapaha firefighters spent their time going over Drafting and Water Shuttle operations. With the bulk of our district NOT having fire hydrants this training is vital so that we can deliver needed water to any fire that we are called to. If you would like to know more or are interested in volunteering please send us a message or stop by the station during our Monday night meeting at 7PM.
