The remnants of Post Tropical Cyclone Isaias will continue to produce gusty winds and rain, with decreasing chances for both through the day on Sunday. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.50-1.00" are expected, with localized amounts of greater than 2" possible east of the I-65 corridor. Occasional wind gusts up to 30-40 mph are still possible this afternoon, diminishing after sunset.

Good Afternoon,

Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall later tonight in the Florida Panhandle and begin to weaken as it moves north into Alabama and Tennessee. We will eventually see the remnants of this system arrive in our region by tomorrow, bringing widespread 25-35 mph wind gusts and 0.50-1.50" of rainfall. This rainfall will be beneficial for our current ongoing abnormally dry and/or drought conditions across the region.

💧 WATER SERVICE RESTORED

Repairs to the damaged main water line have been completed, and water service is being restored to customers in the Piney Woods area, from the Highway 829 intersection toward Rowena, including all side roads.

⚠️ BOIL WATER ADVISORY

A boil water advisory is now in effect for all customers who experienced an outage or low water pressure in the affected area.

A big thank you to our guys who worked this evening to get the line repaired and water service restored as quickly as possible. We appreciate the work they put in to keep our community’s water system running.

Thank you to our customers as well for your patience and understanding while the repairs were being made.

⚠️ WATER OUTAGE NOTICE ⚠️

Customers in the Piney Woods area, from Highway 829 intersection toward Rowena, including all side roads, will experience a water outage due to someone hitting a main water line.

Crews are working to repair the damaged line and restore service as quickly as possible.

Once water service is restored, a BOIL WATER ADVISORY will be in effect for all affected customers until further notice.
