We’re looking for dependable, compassionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time Juvenile Detention Relief Workers. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth while gaining valuable experience in the criminal justice or social services field.

📍 Position Type: Part-Time (Relief/On-Call)
💼 Pay: $22-$24/hour based on trainings

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support youth in a secure detention environment
• Maintain safety, structure, and positive behavior
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and basic needs
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations

Qualifications:

During Teacher’s Appreciation Week, Nurse’s Appreciation Week, and Corrections Officer Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to honor the incredible individuals who make our juvenile detention center more than just a facility—they make it a place of growth, care, and second chances.

To our detention staff: thank you for maintaining safety while also demonstrating fairness and consistency.

This week we were proud to welcome volunteers from the Bureau of Land Management to work alongside our detention youth on a meaningful hands-on project 🌱

Together, they propagated about 750 native plants across three different species. These plants will grow in our on-site native garden over the next year before being transplanted into the community.
