The Instructional Leadership teams from our school sites came together to reflect on the year, discuss how we can work collaboratively within and across schools in service of students, and began planning for the 2026-27 school year.

It is Autism Awareness month! In AUSD we recognize it as a time to deepen understanding, celebrate neurodiversity, and reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, student centered learning. We have some exciting news to celebrate! 🎉

On Tuesday, our School Board officially approved the adoption of Fishtank Learning as our new literacy curriculum, and we couldn’t be more energized about what this means for our students.

This adoption represents an important step forward in our commitment to ensuring that each and every student becomes a confident, capable reader. Fishtank Learning offers rigorous, engaging, and inclusive materials that support strong literacy instruction across classrooms and help us continue to move the needle in meaningful ways for all learners.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Castillo, 5th grade teacher at Marin Elementary, for sharing her voice with the community. Your story and experience were powerful and a beautiful reminder of why this work matters so deeply. 💛
