The Debate Watch-Pizza Party for this Sunday March 15th at Ciddici.s downtown has been called off. Let us pray for all those people who are ill AND that some good will arise as citizens see the need for a MEDICARE for ALL health system.

Update: The OUR REVOLUTION CLUB has been on hiatus for the past year. As BERNIE reemerges, we will be looking to resurrect the club this fall 2019. We did great inspirational work for 3 years, until the fire of adequate membership ebbed. I take great pride in our accomplishments.

We're seeking a Club Advisor and a Faculty Advisor for the Fall Term 2019. The Volunteer Club Advisor would become an official vetted Volunteer. On "Welcome Day" there is an opportunity for students to sign up and create a club. A 2 year school is a challenge but I had a great lot of fun for 3 years. Contact me if you are interested. Note: Albany Bernie 2020 will have a campaign kick off event on Saturday, March 30 from 10:00 until noon at the corner of 4th and Ellsworth (near court house)in downtown Albany It will be a "Honk & Wave" event bring old/new Bernie signs and Health Care signs or simply attend for a while. "Feel The Bern"...Again!

It’s no secret that many of the folks interested in our club are passionate about political issues. In light of that, if you enjoy having in-person discussions on the issues that you're passionate about, there’s an event coming up tomorrow afternoon on the topic of guns which you might want to attend. It’s not hosted by our club (it's hosted by the LBCC Civil Discourse Club), but it is well within our genre and is open to anyone who's interested, so we're spreading the word.

I'll be there - If you also have time this Wednesday, drop by!

- URGENT! -

There will be NO Town Hall on March 3rd, as of just a couple hours ago, the event has been CANCELLED.

The 2018 Legislative Session is continuing into Saturday and the invited guests will not be able to attend.

Wish you all a great Saturday, if the event moves to a different time, I'll let y'all know. For the time being, it's been called off, unfortunately.

The shutdown may be over, but DACA is still at risk. The current deal only funds the Federal Government until a very early timing of February 8th.

March 5 is coming, DREAMers are Americans in every way but one. It's a travesty that this issue is only now receiving serious media coverage, once things have become an emergency (courtesy of the Trump Administration).

The DREAMers have grown up living in the same America as everyone else. It is as much their home as it is for any of us who were native-born. Protecting their status to remain here is a decision for the country that's not about who we do or don't want in, but about who we are. We cannot forget about what's at stake. -Jeff

We must pass a clean DREAM Act now. We cannot have 800,000 young people who were raised in this country living in perpetual fear.

"All Oregonians deserve health care. Health care should be a right, not a privilege for selected people. Your income shouldn’t determine whether you can visit a doctor or nurse or get medicine when you’re sick. Measure 101 ensures that more hard-working Oregonians have health care they can afford.

Voting yes on Measure 101 means protecting healthcare for Oregon families – including 400,000 children, as well as seniors and people with disabilities – who otherwise couldn’t afford a doctor’s visit and are often forced to go to the emergency room when they get sick."

The next step for Bernie Sanders' movement is a new group called Our Revolution, which will fight to transform America and advance the progressive agenda that we believe in.
