We would like to take a moment to recognize our very own Sheriff Michelle Duncan on her recent graduation from the FBIs Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS) #83 in Virginia !
LEEDS was created in 1981 for chief executive officers of the nation’s mid-sized law enforcement agencies (between 50-499 sworn officers).
This two-week executive leadership program brought together law enforcement executives from across the United States, as well as international law enforcement leaders, providing a unique opportunity to learn from different perspectives, experiences, and approaches to leadership.
The program focused on topics critical to leading today’s law enforcement organizations, including the psychology of leadership, emotional intelligence, officer wellness, critical incident response, organizational image and public trust, and cultivating healthy law enforcement cultures.
In addition to the classroom experience, Sheriff Duncan had the opportunity to meet, learn from, and build relationships with law enforcement leaders from across the country and around the world.
Sheriff Duncan’s participation reflects the Linn County Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to continued professional development and to ensuring our leaders remain prepared to meet the evolving challenges of modern law enforcement.
