Who says learning can't be sweet? 🫐🍪

Yesterday, we had 14 participants - from kids to grandparents - join us for our Kid-Friendly Blueberry Freezer Jam & Thumbprint Cookie class as part of our Summer Jam Series!

Participants got hands-on experience making delicious blueberry freezer jam and turning it into homemade thumbprint cookies. At UGA Extension, we love bringing people together through food, and this class was a great reminder that learning is fun at any age! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you're enjoying your homemade treats and feel confident making them again at home!

We planted a cotton variety trial in a local farm in Dougherty county. This is a part of statewide project to test ten different varieties of cotton. Thank you Mr. Mark and Mr. Luke Gwines, who grow row crops in more than 1800 acres in the county, for collaborating with UGA Extension to carry out this varietal trial. Also, special thanks to the ANR agents in Marion & Webster County - Braxton Crews, Terrell County - Seth McAllister, Calhoun County - Luke Crosson, Summer Interns Dipendra Chauhan and Art Rowland for your tremendous support in planting the trial.
