I am saddened to report that MSG(R) Terry Findley passed away in his home Sunday night after a long battle with cancer. He is an iconic figure in the 129th Field Artillery and helped shape the careers of many of our Soldiers.

MSG(R) Findley served as the Readiness NCO / Gunnery Sergeant for Battery A, 1-129th FA and retired as the Battalion Operations Sergeant for HHB, 1-129th FA with over 30 years of service. I always felt that he had an exceptional balance of knowledge, professionalism and priority for Soldier care. He instilled pride in the organization and helped solidify the 129th as one of the best units in the nation. He was instrumental in the creation of traditions unique to Battery A such as the annual Unit Party at the Denver Rocks which led to unrivaled comradery.

I have always had immeasurable respect for the man as a Soldier, and was fortunate enough to expand my respect for him as my father-in-law. He was a loving husband to his wife Barbara and a proud father of three daughters, Missy, Angie, and Amanda. He will be greatly missed.
