Linn County Developmental Disabilities

Linn County Developmental Disabilities LCDD offers service coordination, protective and crisis services to eligible individuals experiencing an intellectual or developmental disability.

Linn County Developmental Disabilities serves eligible individuals residing in Linn County, Oregon, but we hope that this page benefits consumers, families, providers and community resource partners. We hope to develop a hub for information sharing around events, trainings, and other events of broad interest to this group. We have turned off the ability to "comment," but you may like and share any

thing and everything. We did not want anyone to accidentally share private information on our page, where everything is public! If you do have a question, comment or concern, you can message our office through the messenger application. Please keep in mind this account is monitored during business hours and therefore our responses will generally occur during those same times. As always, contact 911 in an emergency.

Blake Wetzel of the Linn County Developmental Disabilities Department organized a trash pick-up volunteer day on June 10. He worked with a Linn County General Services staff member and a City of Albany Employee who oversees things at Waverly Lake to get gloves, trash bags, buckets, and grabber tools. The group cleaned up the area from the lake behind the Willamette Health Center, under the bridge and then all around the walking path around the lake. Eight employees participated and picked up four partial trash bags and three full five-gallon buckets of trash. We’re excited to share that one-day fishing licenses are now available for DD clients!

This is a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and experience the fun and relaxation that fishing can bring. Whether you’re new to fishing or already enjoy it, we encourage you to take advantage of this program.

These photos are from a recent outing with the Road Runners program, who made the most of the sunshine and used their one-day licenses last week at the lake—what a great day!

If you or someone you support is interested, please reach out to our office for more information on how to get a license.

We’re grateful to ODFW for helping make this opportunity possible and supporting meaningful experiences in our community.

Today's the day! We look forward to seeing you all from 4:00-7:00 at the Linn County Fairgrounds!
