Joanna Robinson for State Representative provided this recap of her campaign launch:
This past weekend, 44 supporters, volunteers, friends, and community leaders packed the Barrel Room at 2 Towns Ciderhouse to celebrate everything we’ve built together — and to officially launch the final push to flip House District 15.
We were honored to be joined by an amazing group of elected officials and community leaders, including State Senator Sara Gelser Blouin, State Representative Sarah Finger McDonald, Benton County Commissioner Gabe Shepherd, Corvallis Mayor Charles Maughan, Albany City Councilors Dr. Ramycia McGhee and Michael Thomson, and John Wilson, Democratic nominee for Benton County Commissioner.
And, to the absolute delight of the crowd, we even had a surprise appearance from Caesar the No Drama Llama—aka Oregon’s Little Sebastian. 🦙
Between the great company, $2 tacos, cider, and a room full of people who believe we can bring new leadership to House District 15, it was exactly the kind of celebration we needed before diving headfirst into the final 60 days of this campaign.

We wanted to let you all know about some upcoming community fundraisers! Tomorrow's (8/29) Septembeer Fest in Avery Park is a huge celebration by the Heart of the Valley Homebrewers, with proceeds going to Linn-Benton Food Share, Heartland Humane Society, Jackson Street Youth Services, and more. From noon-7pm, enjoy local home brews, great music, and good vibes. They're still looking for a few door people and servers at this event, head to the Septembeer Fest website for info on volunteering.

On September 3, 10% of all n/a drink sales and food sales at Common Fields will go to Jackson Street, and at 5:30 our Volunteer Coordinator Susan Richey is giving a presentation for the 500 Women Scientists Tap Talks about Jackson Street's volunteer programs. Did you know we offer the only mentoring program in Linn + Benton county? We also offer academic coaching across the region, and so, so much more! Stop by to get involved, learn about our programs, or just enjoy a delicious meal for a good cause.

We're also super excited and honored to be the recipients for this year's Dutch Bros. Bucks for Kids program on September 18! $1 from every drink purchased on this date at all three Albany Dutch Bros. stands will go to Jackson Street! We'll have more details, promotions and flyers coming for Bucks for Kids in the coming weeks, but we are so excited and want to get this huge fundraiser on your radar ASAP.

We're so grateful to all three of these wonderful organizations for saying Yes to Youth in 2026.

If your business, church, service club, or organization is interested in supporting Jackson Street this fall, contact us via DM or shoot an email to Ben at [email protected]. Our fall/winter season is the busiest time of year for us across our programs and we'll be distributing thousands of backpacks, jackets, food boxes, hygiene kits, school supplies, and so much more. We appreciate all the support for our youth during this time when many working people are feeling the crunch from the high cost of living in our area. Thank you!

I’m proud to announce that our campaign has been endorsed by Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield!

At a moment when decisions in Washington, D.C. can have immediate consequences for our families and communities, Attorney General Rayfield's leadership is a powerful reminder of why strong state leadership matters.

As Attorney General, Dan has stood up to federal overreach and fought to protect Oregonians’ rights, our vote-by-mail system, our privacy, and billions of dollars that support healthcare, food assistance, housing, education, public safety, and other essential services. In 2025 alone, the Oregon Department of Justice filed 52 lawsuits challenging federal actions and worked to protect more than $4.5 billion in federal funding for Oregon.

That work matters. When the federal government exceeds its authority or threatens the programs and protections our communities depend on, we need state leaders who are willing to stand their ground, defend Oregon, and fight for the people they represent.

That’s the kind of leadership I want to bring to the Oregon Legislature: independent, determined, and focused on delivering real results that improve the lives of working people, while protecting our communities when it matters most.

I’m deeply grateful to Attorney General Dan Rayfield for his endorsement and for his leadership on behalf of Oregonians across our state. I’m honored to have him in our corner as we fight to win House District 15. 💪
