Babies Can’t Wait (BCW) is Georgia’s early intervention program (part C) that offers a variety of coordinated services for infants and toddlers with special needs, from birth to three years of age, and their families. The Office of Nutrition Services provides nutrition education, high risk nutritional counseling, lactation counseling, and supplemental foods. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program serves women who are pregnant, non-lactating up to six months postpartum, and lactating up to twelve months postpartum, and infants and children up to five years of age who are at nutritional risk.
