Local astronomers will be on site with telescopes to help guests explore planets, galaxies, nebulae, and more beneath some of the darkest skies in Texas. Space is limited and reservations are required, so be sure to reserve your spot early.

Fort Griffin staff and volunteers from the Fort Griffin Living History Association are at Fort Clark this weekend in Bracketville, Texas for their annual Fort Clark Days. There has been a great turnout of schools this morning from the local school districts. If you’re in the area, come see us!

Fort Griffin State Historic Site is open today, but access to the fort area is temporarily restricted due to very icy and hazardous conditions.

The fort grounds will remain closed until ice has melted and conditions are safe for visitors.
