On January 22, 2026, the Beta Nu Sigma and Beta Psi Chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were honored as the 2025 Organization of the Year by Keep Albany–Dougherty Beautiful (KADB) in Albany, Georgia. This award recognizes the chapters’ continued dedication and service to ensuring that Albany and Dougherty County remain beautiful places to live and visit. The chapters’ efforts underscore a deep commitment to community service and demonstrate what can be achieved through strong community partnerships. We extend our sincere gratitude to Keep Albany–Dougherty Beautiful for this honor.

On December 18, 2025, the Brothers of the Beta Nu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated partnered with the Salvation Army in Albany, Georgia to raise funds in support of programs that provide food assistance, shelter, and critical resources to individuals and families in need. Through this effort, the chapter raised $141.42 to help combat hunger and homelessness in the local community. This community service initiative reaffirmed Sigma’s longstanding commitment to community engagement and its dedication to service, compassion, and uplifting those most vulnerable.
