I am a real Republican. Not a big govt, big spending, no tax repeal, deficit-inducing Republican that is so common today, who the founders would tar and feather.
Anything short of tax repeal for the working masses, a balanced budget, annual debt reduction, and federal downsizing is big Government and leftist to me.

There is no excuse for this amount of waste. If our State budget matched Florida's, removing $153 billion from it, New York could repeal state sales tax, state income tax, AND cover property taxes in full for every primary home owner in New York State.

There's alot of interests at force here, local, state, and nationwide and beyond, who we have a chance to send a very powerful message to with this primary election.
This campaign's message, unlike the alternatives in the race, is clear. My platform is diverse, yet focused on a recurring theme. By now I don't have to keep repeating it. Its up to the Republican Primary voters of NY 19 to decide if it's a message that resonates with you.
If we win, it will send shockwaves across the country and cause the elite class to begin thinking twice when defying this message.
With that; please tell your Republican friends, family, and neighbors to vote Portelli in the Republican Primary. Early voting begins the 13th, and election day is june 23rd.

A few of the constant threats I and my family have to endure by these fanatics, simply for attempting to engage in the political process, expose the corruption, and fight for fiscal responsibility and tax repeal for the majority of Americans.
People tell me they're going to take my 5 year old's life. people putting out demands to "86" me. People sending messages of sensitive information with threats of violence.
I am not stopping this god-given mission, trying as it may be sometimes, but It is quite a shame that certain individuals and groups in this country want to use these threats to intimidate me out of even wanting to continue running for office.
Especially when I try engaging in a civil manner with everyone.
We must not let thugs and intimidation sabotage our Republic.

REPEAL THE NYS INCOME TAX

“Temporary.”
That’s how New York’s state income tax was sold to the people.
In 1919, Assembly Speaker Al Smith and Albany leaders assured New Yorkers the income tax was an emergency measure... a short-term fix that would not last.
That was over 100 years ago.
What was supposed to be temporary became permanent.
What was supposed to be limited became crushing.
And working New Yorkers have been paying the price ever since, as we've been bled dry from our industry and businesses moving to states with no income tax for the last 100 years.
I’m calling on New York’s leaders to finally tell the truth and do what was promised:
Repeal the New York State income tax.

Furthermore, I plan on immediately introducing a bill to Congress repealing the Federal income Tax for all American persons and businesses making under $1 million a year, abolishing the IRS, and consolidating it's duties with the Treasury Department, responsible only for corporate audits. By doing this, we can unleash American prosperity once again.

As for New York, It’s time our political leaders finish what Albany said the State income tax would always be: Temporary.

Repeal the NYS income tax.
Take Back the Empire State.

If we can reduce New York's State budget from $260 billion to $120 billion, we can repeal the State income and State Sales tax in full.
So many people and industries would return to New York, the tax base would start growing again, allowing property taxes to begin dropping as well.
Let's make this a centerpiece issue!
