Parents, are you looking for a fun summer activity your kids will love? The America 250 NC Stanly County Committee is hosting a Charters of Freedom Scavenger Hunt where kids ages 8–18 can explore history and have the chance to win some awesome prizes!

Now through August 3, your child can stop by the Charters of Freedom display near Albemarle City Hall on Second Street anytime that works for you. Kids can complete the scavenger hunt entirely at their own pace.

Participants will search for clues hidden in the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights, discovering a little American history along the way.

Kids who complete the scavenger hunt will be entered into a drawing for an America 250 prize package, including:

• America 250 Stanly County T‑shirt
• America 250 bag
• America 250 magnet
• America 250 hand fan
• Light‑up American flag
• Revolutionary War‑era toys

🎶 Celebrate 250! Join the Singing Americans of Stanly County on July 5! 🇺🇸

The Singing Americans of Stanly County return with their Celebrate 250! concert on Sunday, July 5 at 4p.m. at Badin Baptist Church (28 Falls Road, Badin).

It’s a powerful patriotic celebration featuring a diverse mix of familiar favorites and inspiring new songs—a perfect way to keep the 4th of July spirit going!

The group just helped kick off the Oakboro 4th of July festivities with a fantastic concert (check out the photos!), and they’re ready to bring that same energy to Badin.
