Resources may include job searching, attaining a suitable housing option, filing a disability claim, arranging entry into a rehabilitation program, mental/physical health assistance, or additional education needs. Transitional Housing Program: Homes of Hope provides temporary, supportive housing to help families faced with homelessness (after typically suffering a financial crisis or falling victim to domestic violence) by assisting them with transitioning into permanent, affordable housing. The Transitional Housing Program increases the likelihood that families experiencing homeless will be able to sustain self-sufficiency within a community once they have taken the time to address barriers and acquire new skills in a safe, supportive environment. The Transitional Housing Program provides short-term housing (up to 6 months). At the end of the 6 months, successful participants move out into their own rental property, after receiving supportive services including case management, personal goal-setting, referrals to other community agencies, financial education, and budgeting. Additionally, participants are matched with volunteer mentors who provide advice and support.
