This post is for any NEW candidates or for those planning to run for office in the November 3rd, 2026 General!

If you plan to spend any money toward your campaign or if you receive any donations, you must establish a campaign committee.

The deadline to set up this committee is 10 days after your first purchase or receipt of a donation.

Please come by our office to complete the necessary paperwork. This is a crucial step for compliance!

Come to the Stanly County Board of Elections from June 8th, 2026 at 12:00PM until July 6th, 2026 at 5:00PM to get your name on the November ballot as the soil and water district supervisor!

Soil and water: Monday, June 8, 2026 at NOON through Monday, July 6, 2026 at 5:00pm

Municipal offices: Monday, July 6th at 8:30 a.m. through Friday, July 17th at NOON

The next general election is coming up on November 3rd, 2026! Here are a couple of important points to keep in mind leading up to election day⬇️

Check your registration: Use the link provided to make sure all of your information is up to date: https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/
If your data needs to be updated, submit a new voter registration form via online or by visiting our office.

There are three ways to vote: North Carolina offers different methods of voting to ensure everyone gets a chance to have their voice heard! These methods include absentee voting, early voting, and in-person election day voting.
