East Side and Stanly Rescue was dispatched early this morning for a vehicle accident with entrapment on McNeil Rd. Due to the position of the vehicle additional units were requested. Norwood Rescue, Albemarle Fire, and Southside responded. Southside was staged at 24/27/73 and McNiel to divert traffic along with a SC Deputy. These units then assisted with an automatic crash notification further down 24/27. The occupant in the initial crash was extricated and transported to the hospital by SC EMS. All units returned to service.

East Side and Southside sending supplies West. Having traveled out there personally, this only scratches the surface, but with the combined effort of this, and the hundreds like it from fellow North Carolineans it will have tremendous impact for those trying to survive this humanitarian crises.
