All active Explorers. It is getting close to Fair time again. This year there are 4 available shifts from 1700 hrs to 2200 hrs on 08-02-16 through 08-06-16. There are 2 available shifts from 1200 hrs to 1700 hrs on 08-07-16. I am requesting u respond as soon as you can so I can complete the schedule. I will schedule those in order of there response.

July 3 is from about 1600 hrs until traffic slows at the parade. July 3 overnight security at the city beach from about 2200 hrs till about 0800 hrs. July 4 will be about 1930 hrs until traffic slows. All participants will meet at the LEC and will need to be in uniform and will need to have a traffic vest. If u do not have a vest. Let me know.

All active Explorers. We are looking for help July 3 and 4. July 3 parade from about 1700 hours until traffic clears and in the evening on the 4 for the fire works. Please let us know if you are available. Also next meeting we will meet at the LEC at 1800 to 2000 hours.

Another great evening of training last night. I want to thank all Explorers that participated in Patrol Practicles. Everyone did an outstanding job. I would also like to add to all Explorers that are not active please turn in all equipment and shirts ASAP. We need to redistribute gear and shirts. Once again thank you all.

All active Explorers. This week we will be training at the fairgrounds parking area for Patrol Practicles. We will be meeting there. Also the start time has been changed to 1800 hrs. We will be there until about 2000 hrs. See ya then.

The Freeborn County Explorers and Advisers would like to thank the Riverland Law Enforcement Department ,Austin for the Simulator training last night. All Explorers learned a lot and had a great time. Also wanna thank the great turnout by the Explorers. Once again thank u all for the great night of training.

All active Explorers! The next training meeting is 04-21-16. The training is at the Austin College. We will be training on the Simulator. Training is from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs. We will meet at the west building by KIMT. You can park in front of the west building or go all the way to the rear of the building. A door will be opened for you. Please car pool with each other if possible. Stay in contact with all active Explorers so all that want to use the Simulator can.

All active Explorers and interested students. The scheduled meeting/training set for 02/18/16 has been postponed to 02/25/16 1900hrs. All of you that have turned in your applications and have paid your dues thank you. Those of you that have not please pick up an application at the LEC. Dues are $25.00 this year.

All interested Active Explorers. Dec. 16 between the hours of 1800 and 2000 hours we will be hosting Shop With A Cop at the Albert Lea Wal Mart. I am asking your assistance with the youth along with assisting wrapping gifts.

FYI to all active Explorers. Our next training is firearms in December. We will be starting the training at 1800 hrs instead of 1700. The training will go until 2100 hrs. See everyone there.

Congradulations to two Explorers that have moved up in the ranks. Explorers went through the process of a letter of interest along with an interview. All did very well and the advisors thank you all that had applied for the Captain and Sgt. Position. Wyatt Magnes was named Captain and Stephen Nowak was named Sgt. At last nights training session. Congratulations to both.

Update on Explorers activities. Not only does the Explorers have monthly training session they are also involved with alcohol and compliance checks within the county. Thanks to all who have participated in those checks. The next training session is Nov. 19th at the Law Enforcement Center at 1900 hours. Those who are in 9th grade and up to 21 years of age may attend.

Thanks to all Explorers who attended the monthly training last night. The training was very benificial and I believe all learned more about the illegal drug market and what it does to a person and there families. I also wanted to thank the South Central Drug Task Force for there presentation and volunteering there time along with all the Explorer advisors.

I would like to thank all Freeborn County Sheriff's Office Explorer's that attended the first meeting last night. A lot of greats ideas were talked about. It's going to be a very productive and fun year. Looking forward to it. I would also like to thank the advisors for there hard work and dedication.
