Conger 4-H members - We have the opportunity to take our Community Pride project to the State Fair. We are in need of 2 Conger 4-Hers to visit with the judge on Saturday, September 4th 8:30 am. Hey Conger 4-H Families & Community! THANK YOU so much for your generous donations to our School Supply Drive! We have been able to put together 10 backpacks & will be donating the rest of the supplies to the Alden-Conger School.

SHORT NOTICE - If you are available at 1:00 pm Tuesday afternoon, we will be taking the donations over. Please meet us there (high school entrance) briefly for donation of supplies & quick photo.

Community Pride Project
We are collecting food & personal care items. Natalie & Krista will be at the Conger Community Center Sunday, February 7th from 2 - 3 pm for drop off. Our goal is to have all members donate at least 1 item. An email will be sent with a list of highly needed items. This is in place of our regular monthly meeting. On Sunday, October 25th at 7:00p.m. the Alden and Conger club are coming together to host a fun virtual zoom meeting with games and prizes. We encourage current 4-H members to attend as well as anyone who wants to join or learn more about 4-H. 2020 Freeborn County Fair - FairEntry.com

Fair Registration details

We are requesting families to complete the county fair registration online! We will be using FairEntry to handle all aspects of the county fair paperwork. Fair dates are August 4-9, 2020. All projects must be entered by families in FairEntry by Monday, June 22nd. The online system will close at 11:59 pm on June 22nd.

Registration will open on Monday, May 18, at 8:00 am to register your exhibits for the 2020 Freeborn County Fair! All registrations are due by Monday, June 22nd, 2020.

County Fair Update Reminders:

*The Freeborn County 2020 Fair is cancelled to the public. *However, the 4-H aspect of the fair WILL go on! *We are in plan B. The plan is: We are working diligently and effectively to create an in person at the fairgrounds (if the University of Minnesota allows face to face activities in August) or virtual.

Please refer to the attachment documents for project details. If you would like a hard copy sent via mail, please let me know and I can send it out to your family.

Registration for 2020 will open on May 18 ~ 8 am. At that time you will have access to your County Fair registrations any time you want, using your 4-Honline username and password. Convenient and easy. Registration will close on June 22 at 11:59 pm.

We have a Community Pride opportunity. The United Way is looking for volunteers to make masks. Kits are available with materials and pattern included. You may use your own materials if you'd like, we can get you a pattern. Contact Krista Ahnemann at 507-402-0645 or Natalie Loock at 507-391-3369. Please take pictures of 4-Her working on them and keep track of how many you make. Masks can be given to Krista or Natalie when finished. Contact Krista or Natalie for more information or to get a kit.
