SOUL.
That's what's missing.
In the 60's -- the last Renaissance -- the Spirit was alive and walking the planet. When it was most alive, people cooperated and communes started and actually functioned well. We worked together to stop a war. Justice was reinforced. The music was great.
Then the Great Cooling: the Great Spirit moved on. People became disillusioned. Communes fell apart. Love-bonded Hippies turned their backs on one another. And now the Great Divider has a grip on the headlines.

SOUL.
That's why black folk can dance, sing, and play basketball.

I have noticed that when one gets high on ma*****na, that person will dream much less.
When one goes out and gets drunk, that person will dream more than usual.

I hypothesize that when drunk, one actually loses contact with much of one's active brain. That is why, in nearly every case, a drunk will lose a lot of motor control. Because of this deadening of the brain, the unconscious must do much more processing in dreams.

Further, when one is stoned, the thinking mind is somewhat tempered by the feeling mind, thus activity is carried on in a wider band. The stoned person is living life more expressively. There is less clean-up work that needs to be done by dreams.

However you think of God, whether as the Judaeo-Christian angry desert god festooned with sandals, a long white robe, a great white beard, and lightning eyes deep in the shadows cast by heavy white-haired brows, or as the glorious Multimind composed of billions upon billions of harmonizing minds, two thoughts arise.

One: contemplation or discussion of God is a fool's mission, even in a circle of similarly motivated individuals.. No conclusion is certain, and no penetrating and coherent argument will convince a cynic or disbeliever of what reasonable assertions you have reached.

Two, a mind that does not consider God in any fashion whatsoever, is most likely a mind without a Keeper, lacking imagination or light.

My mind is active this morning, so here is one other thing.

TESTOSTERONE and God

TESTOSTERONE is molecularly identical across all species.

Than means that humans are not aliens; well, unless someone has alienated themselves from us.

DNA does not differ greatly between living things. Except for two tiny remote exceptions, all living things on this ball of delicious mud have the same DNA. Even octopuses. We are all in this together. Tolerance is required. Love is mandatory.

Now: about God.
Evolutionary magic took a leap at the point where a one-cell critter becomes multicellular. This is greatly boosted by mutualistic symbiosis. I don't know if relationships where two species become one can be or have been recognized, but I know intuitively this has occurred.
We are largely ONE ORGANISM named “Terran Deoxyribonucleic Acid.” A long awkward name.

I figure God – the THOU – is a singular being composed of many beings. If you are Chosen your Mind can escape the bone cage of your skull. If you are Chosen, you can influence anyone in the mass mind, but have given up this advantage to benefit the cosmic order.
Am I going too fast? (I am not one of those Chosen. I am a flunky who had a glimpse of the higher order.)
If you are Chosen, you have surrendered all attachment to the provincial Earth in favor of joining a MultiMinded Being grown out of the Universalism of All Minds.

A miracle occurred somewhere along the line; some particularly wise Mind-form decided to conjoin with only other minds that were “clean” of attachment to some individual planetary mind-form, and unattached to those things that weaken mind and character, like greed, jealousy...
This Overmind yields stunning advantage to all life everywhere.
In fact, since Time is only a mind-construct, this Overmind may have created Itself and the entire panoply of the Cosmos.
Maybe Mind is the true Alien in a cosmos of Nothing.

Is this clear?

All this makes as much sense as the Big Bang.

AFTER THE PARTY

I recognized an old friend coming out of Butterfly Herbs. She looked a little smaller than I remembered her. a bit older. I rushed over, grabbed her hand and began to gush, "... and remember how we went into the kitchen and snorted spices!? And then we snorted ice cream! That was such educational and crazy fun!"
I could see she didn't remember the experience.
Then I could see she didn't recognize me.
She struggled to speak and I realized that something was broken. I realized a filament had burnt out.
I could see she was confused by my behavior, but at peace. I could see she was with a man who cared for her.
I said good to see you, my love leaking out on the sidewalk, and I left.
A bit of my heart turned to ashes. She had been so powerful, so intelligent, so alive. Such a bright future awaited her.
I put those ashes into some compost in my heart, some terra preta, where good things will incubate, and carry it with me.
Now and then I see someone who looks like her and the whole scene rolls over me again.
I water those ashes with tears.

It is obvious to me that all creative work from the point where Ai first made an appearance should be dated with AAi (After Artificial intelligence).

It is also imperative that Art. Intel. be acronymed as Ai, not as AI. AI can be easily misinterpreted. Ai, on the other hand, is much more unique.

I am sure that Ai had a "hand" in this, although I think it is years old.(bc-Ai)
