***SCAM ALERT! We have heard from 3 people in the last 30 minutes who received the pictured Traffic Ticket Scam, showing the Jefferson Co. Alabama Traffic Division. They all seem to show a APRIL 20TH 2026 Issue Date and a QR Code to facilitate payment. As always if you think you MAY HAVE a traffic citation in Jefferson Co. Alabama, by all means contact them to make sure, but DON"T call the number on the citation, and DON'T SEND MONEY! Search the listed court and call them directly. It should be noted that we HAVE NOT spoken with anyone at Jefferson Co. but feel sure the scammers have just "UP'D" their game and included a picture in addition to the "TEXT ONLY" SCAM from a few months ago. We are also including tips to help you spot a scam, as no known court conducts business by random text message.
