📋💚 “What Do I Need to Bring With Me for Support?”

We get this question a lot, so we thought we’d make it easy! If you’re planning to visit Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern (GOMOC) for assistance, here’s what you need to know before you come.

🏠 FOR ALL SERVICES
You must live in Genesee or Orleans County and bring a valid form of ID.

🛋️ Furniture Requests
• You must live in Genesee or Orleans County.
• You must currently be residing at the property where the furniture will be delivered.
• We do not provide furniture for temporary housing situations.

🎉 Youth Events
This one is easy no intake and no paperwork! Just show up and have FUN! 🥳

👕 Back-to-School Clothes
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.
• Complete a Back-to-School form for each child receiving assistance.

🎄 Christmas Support
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.
• Complete a Holiday Wish List for each child receiving assistance.

🥕 Food Vouchers
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.
• Bring documentation showing that you are currently employed.
• Bring documentation showing that you are NOT receiving SNAP benefits.

💊 Prescription Assistance
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.
• Provide your pharmacy information.
• A GOMOC staff member will contact the pharmacy to verify the amount and will go directly to the pharmacy to make payment.
• We do not pick up or deliver medications.

💡 Utility Assistance
• You must have first attempted to receive assistance through other available agencies.
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.
• Bring a current utility bill in your name.
• Complete the Utility Assistance paperwork with a GOMOC staff member.

🧴 Personal Care Items
• Complete a GOMOC intake form.

🚨 PLEASE REMEMBER:
ALL paperwork and intake forms MUST be completed IN PERSON at our office. We do not complete intake paperwork by mail, email, or over the phone.

We know asking for help can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process as clear and simple as possible so you know exactly what to expect when you walk through our doors. 💚

IMPORTANT!!!!! Back to School Program update .

We’re sorry, but Orleans County applications are currently closed, as we have reached our limit.

We are still accepting applications for Genesee County at this time.

If Genesee County does not fill all available spots by August 17, 2026, we will reopen Orleans County applications for ONE DAY ONLY on August 18, 2026.

We will post an update here on Facebook if Orleans County applications reopen.

"9:00 AM! GOMOC'S OPENING! I KNOW THEM! I KNOW THEM!"

Okay... maybe Buddy the Elf was talking about Santa, but we're pretty excited too! 😄

After days of packing, moving, unpacking, and asking, "Has anyone seen the tape dispenser?" we're finally ready!

Starting tomorrow at 9:00 AM, we'll be welcoming everyone to our new home:

🔑 We did a thing... WE GOT THE KEYS! 🎉

After lots of planning, packing, and excitement, GOMOC officially has the keys to our new home at 243 S. Main Street, Suite 2421, Albion!

Now comes the fun part... figuring out which key unlocks which door. 😅📦
