BOIL ORDER LIFTED 7-30-2026

The boil order issued on July 28, 2026 in the City of Albion, for customers on North Second Street, Maple Street, and Sunset Drive, has been lifted. Samples have passed at the lab and we have notified our customers.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOIL ORDER

The city workers were out last night working on two water leaks, during that time they did not have to shut the water system down because they still had pressure while they were working on the leaks. Late this morning someone called the City Hall and said they were out of pressure at their house during the time they were working on the leaks. So that is when the boil order was warranted. The way customers are notified about the boil order is by putting out signs along the road that has the boil order and posting it on the City of Albion page. When the boil order is lifted the signs will be picked up and it will also be posted on Facebook. Just a reminder that a boil order is precautionary not a warning.

BOIL ORDERED ISSUED 7-28-2026

Due to a water main break a boil order has been issued in the City of Albion for customers on North Second St, Maple St & Sunset Drive. The customers have been notified and will be notified again when samples have passed at the lab.

Reminder the water bills are due by the 25th of each month. A 10% penalty is added on the 26th of each month.

Today City of Albion and City of Grayville signed the contract to start construction in August 2026 on the new water treatment plant. The projected completion date is late 2027.
