Austin Ave Road Closure / Detour Route on 08-10-26:

Austin Ave. from Superior Street to Arthur Street will be closed for traffic starting Monday, August 10th, 2026 for approximately 8 weeks.

Albion Street is scheduled to be open in the afternoon on August 8th, 2026 from Austin Ave. to Erie St.

The detour map shows the area in green for the detour traffic to take from Austin Ave. to Albion Street to Erie St. to Superior St.

The area in red is where Austin Ave. will be closed starting 08-10-26.

N. Eaton St. on the east side of the road from Austin Ave. to Broadwell will remain closed. N. Eaton St. from Mulberry St. to Austin Ave. will also remain closed. This is for the new water main and road reconstruction project.

This closure was part of the announcement from last year when this construction started and is part of the 2026 phase of the project.

We understand that this is going to add to the frustration of construction closures. The contractors are working as fast as they can and once it is done, it will be so much nicer for our City.
