Rep. Stansbury: we are empowering the next generation of leaders!
We are empowering the next generation of leaders to fight for the future. Proud to speak with Manzano High School Monarchs (go Monarchs!!) on the importance of a more just and resilient climate future and conservation.
The future is in good hands. 🌎💪♥️
Rep. Stansbury: We support our tradespeople!
Labor is in the house! Trades jobs are an integral part of our lives—society literally would not function without them.
Thank you to everyone who showed up to our roundtable to discuss the need for more tradespeople in the workforce and what we can do to make that happen!
Rep. Stansbury: I'm so grateful for our interns!
Interns are truly the backbone of Congress, and I'm so grateful for every single one.
Recently, I sat down with my summer intern, Allie, to chat about her favorite parts of being a “Hilltern”. Here's what she had to say:

This week we toured the devastating impacts of the South Fork and Salt Fires in Ruidoso and Mescalero and met with state, local and Tribal leadership and our federal partners to continue recovery efforts.
Our communities are strong and resilient.
And, we are thankful every day for all the first responders, emergency, and aid workers still there on the front lines!
#NewMexicoStrong
It’s devastating to see what the South Fork and Salt fires and floods have done to Ruidoso, Mescalero, and surrounding areas.
I’m dedicated to doing everything I can to ensure our communities are built back better and stronger than ever. Mayor Crawford, thank you for the tour.
This Purple Heart Day, I want to take a moment to honor all of the New Mexicans who have been injured or paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your courage and dedication to this country. Most of all, thank you for your service.
Veteran’s history is New Mexico history, and an integral part of our identity as New Mexicans.
It's important we remember and honor those who fought and served to defend our freedoms -- especially those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Grateful to the New Mexico Veterans Memorial for honoring this history.
A beautiful day celebrating the life and legacy of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee.
A trailblazer and social justice warrior by all accounts: judge, jurist, Councilwoman, Congresswoman, mother, grandmother, and beloved friend. Rest in peace, dear Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
You will be forever missed!
Home sweet home!
So excited to be back in New Mexico and on the ground for August district work month…and to eat all the chile.
Can’t wait to see you all soon! ❤️ 🌶️
Rep. Stansbury: We're building a more climate reslient future
Climate justice means ensuring that EVERYONE—no matter who you are or where you live—has the opportunity to build a more just, equitable and resilient future. We are also working to ensure everyone benefits from the historic investments of the Inflation Reduction Act, which we passed two years ago as the most significant climate bill in American history. Today, we heard from our communities about what that means.

Rep. Stansbury: That's a wrap on the summer session!
That's a wrap on the summer session!
It’s been real. Grateful to be headed home.
Unfortunately, the GOP couldn't get it together to pass real legislation, so they're sending us home early. But, I’m excited to get back to NM to spend time in our communities and hear what's important to you. See you soon, NM! 😘

Rep. Stansbury: We must protect Tribal waters
In New Mexico, water is life. It is who we are: our cultures, our languages, our sustenance.
But for far too long, we have failed to live up to our responsibility to protect Tribal waters. It's time to secure these sacred waters and pass these long overdue Tribal water settlements.
