The Mayor’s Prize for Entrepreneurship

The Mayor’s Prize for Entrepreneurship Mayor Richard J. Berry, Albuquerque Community Foundation, & the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation are collaborating on a prize program for entrepreneurship.

In order to create a more productive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Albuquerque, the Honorable Mayor Richard J. Berry, the Albuquerque Community Foundation and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation are collaborating on a prize program designed to increase rates of firm formation and success by enabling innovation in philanthropy and entrepreneurship support. The Mayor’s Prize for Entrepreneurship, po

wered by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, will award prizes to nonprofit organizations that innovate to develop and scale programs that will improve the environment for entrepreneurs in our city. We are specifically looking to incentivize better collaboration and connections between entrepreneurs and between support resources. This program is not intended to sustain an existing programmatic offering. Instead, it will be used to catalyze new efforts to improve the overall efficiency and productivity of our entrepreneurship ecosystem. Two or more prizes of up to $200,000 will be awarded annually. 3-5 categories of awards will be considered each year.
