We are so proud of one of our coworkers, Kaleen. Not only is she a hard worker and an all around go getter. She started back to school this semester in the middle of a pandemic. She finished her semester with 3 A's and a B+. Way to go Kae Kalama! Keep on being amazing. 🤩🥳

WARNING LONG POST:

There is a special story behind this vase.

Josh Kurtz one day made an amazing analogy about his families stay at Family Promise. He said that their life was kind of like a vase and on the day that they lost their apartment it was like the vase shattered. They gathered up all the pieces and brought them with them to Family Promise. Then they worked to super glue the vase back together and it took 6 months for the super glue to dry and for their family to be able to put flowers back in the vase and to have them grow again.

The staff at Family Promise of Albuquerque decided that upon graduation we would create and gift them this beautiful hand decorated vase with hand made ribbon flowers in the whole families favorite colors. It turned out beautiful and we are so impressed with Josh's analogy. We are so excited that the Kurtz family got their apartment. We are so grateful to touch the lives of families we serve. We are also very excited for what the future holds for Josh and his family.

It is such a blessing to be able to watch the families repair their vase to the point of being able to put flowers in it again.

I would be amiss if during National Volunteer Week I did not take the time to thank all of our amazing volunteers for their service to Family Promise of Albuquerque's programs. We would not be able to do what we do without the help of our over 800 volunteers. You all are amazing and I am humbled by your generosity and love that you show the families that utilize our program. FPA will never find enough words to say thank you!🤩
