Night Without a Bed 2022 was a great success. We had 6 people stay the night in their cars. We had one person brave the wind and mild rain in a tent. We had a group of Girl Scouts at camp with their leaders discussing family homelessness. We had a family stay on a blow-up mattress in their living room. We had overwhelming support and pledges for the people that stayed in their cars. That support raised $2200 for Family Promise. If you would still like to donate to help us reach our goal of $2500 follow this link:

Last Month George Walter & his wonderful staff from Crane Service Inc. worked together and donated sheets, pillows, blankets, sweatshirts, gloves and more for our families at Family Promise of Albuquerque. We greatly appreciate the donations and time you and your staff at Crane Service Inc. took to help out our families during this winter season.
Today our guests got to learn about dental hygiene from students at Pima Medical Institute. We all learned a little something today about how important it is to properly care for you teeth. Below I have put up some True or False questions, can you take a guess at them and see if there is something that may surprise you 😱. Answers in comments🤩
T or F cavities can be transferred from person to person via kisses and sharing drinks?
T or F brushing immediately after eating or drinking sugary food/drink is beneficial?
T or F you should rinse with water after brushing your teeth?
We are so grateful to Julio Salazar and Auto Angels NM for coming and doing a simple repair on one of our guests' vehicles. Nonprofit partnerships are essential as we help people. Thanks Julio!

A look at this amazing tree with leaves made of the handprints of guests that were in our program when the pandemic first started, has me feeling proud that Family Promise of Albuquerque was able to remain a pillar in the community serving families experiencing homelessness through the pandemic. All of the handprints on that tree will be spending this Thanksgiving in their own place with a Turkey from FPA to enjoy the holiday.
Family Promise of Albuquerque celebrates the veterans who have utilized our program and the veterans that volunteer for our organization. Thank you for your service!

PJ is excited to be back at work and is working hard to entertain everyone who is here today. Therapy dogs can do so much to relieve stress, engage children and bring a sense of normalcy to an unnormal situation.
With all of the holiday rush, we are behind on posting photos of our grand opening of our new day center. Here are a few. For an average cost of $35 per day per person, Family Promise of Albuquerque has a 90% success rate for all of 2015 for helping families experiencing homelessness find housing and an 83% success rate of parents graduating from our shelter with employment. Without your support, none of this is possible. Please consider investing in our families at www.familypromiseabq.org.
Thank you to the Parrot Heads of New Mexico. This amazing group of friends adopted our most recently graduated family. The family went from the empty apartment with only a couple of mattresses to the fully furnished apartment -- complete with Christmas tree, presents and a full refrigerator and pantry. The family that received this worked so hard to get on their feet and are a great success story. This generosity will truly set them off on the right track and is very deserved.
Thank you to all of our wonderful donors for making Christmas magical for our graduates! The response was overwhelming and awe-inspiring. Thank you also to the dedicated staff that worked tirelessly to organize, wrap and distribute all of these presents. Kathy and Laura, you are an amazing part of our team!
