Relay New Mexico NMCDHH is the administrator for Relay New Mexico as provided by
Hamilton Relay.

Traditional relay services offered include TTY, voice carry-over, hearing carry-over, speech-to-speech, Spanish and CapTel®. Relay services connect people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or speech disabled to people who use standard telephone equipment. NMCDHH also monitors and implements quality control as regulated by the Federal Communications Commission.

ATTENTION RELAY NEW MEXICO USERS-POTENTIAL DELAYS IN RELAY SERVICE: Hamilton Relay & Hamilton CapTel are working to ensure that all Relay call centers across the country are staffed and prepared for Hurricane Issac. Based on weather forecast models, it appears that Tropical Storm Isaac will develop into a category 1 hurricane before making landfall on the Louisiana coast which is anticipated to happen Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. As a result, several precautionary steps to ensure that we are prepared. Hamilton Relay management is continuously monitoring the situation and is in constant communication so as to remain abreast of the latest weather forecasts and provide updates on staffing planning in each center. We will share more information as it is available.

We are looking for individuals who are deaf or deaf-blind and who have been a positive influence in New Mexico, demonstrating commitment to advocacy, leadership and enhancing the lives of those around them. The award will be presented during Deaf Awareness Week in September.

A questionnaire is attached to assist in providing information about your candidate, including a brief description about the individual and what this person has done that causes you to nominate him/her. NMRID’s CMP Sponsor, Monica Sower, has kindly agreed to process CEUs for this event. Attached are the instructions for signing up to receive CEUS, as well as the PINRA form that must be filled out and submitted to Monica BEFORE the conference.

In order to receive CEUs through NMRID’s Sponsor, the required information is due by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18th by 5:00pm. There will NOT be on-site CEU sign-up available. There will be NO exceptions.
