We are excited to welcome two new talented leaders to the HHH team!

Meet Lisa Glow and Jordan Barela. 🏠 Lisa Glow has been appointed Executive Director of the Gateway System of Care, and Jordan Barela will serve as Deputy Director of Housing Initiatives and Community Development. Together, they bring deep expertise in homeless services and affordable housing – crucial pillars of HHH’s mission to improve quality of life for every Albuquerque resident.

"Albuquerque is proving that homelessness can be addressed when a city commits to building a smart, coordinated, and compassionate system of care. Serving an average of 1,000 people nightly, what has been built here is not just a collection of programs—it's a community-wide system designed to move people from crisis to stability and long-term housing. The City’s deep and sustained commitment to building a national model is why I moved to Albuquerque from Phoenix. As we continue to evolve and sustain this system of care, I look forward to working closely with our nonprofit partners, our faith partners, the business community, and the many concerned citizens who share our mission of improving the quality of life for all residents.” - Lisa Glow.

We are thrilled to Lisa and Jordan's expertise advancing our commitment to improve the quality of life for everyone in Albuquerque by supporting behavioral health, public health initiatives, affordable housing, and homeless services. Share your well wishes for Lisa and Jordan in the comments!

We're so excited to share a new addition at Gateway West! 🐾 Thanks to Greater Good Charities and the efforts of dedicated volunteers, our residents and their dogs now have expanded outdoor yards, fun enrichment areas, shaded benches to relax on together, and a brand-new grooming sink to keep pups clean and healthy.

Over 55 hours of volunteer service went into making this happen, and the results speak for themselves! Caring for a pet is an important source of stability, routine, and joy, especially when times are tough, and we're proud to support that bond.

🏠 New Chapter on Route 66: Farolito Senior Community is Open!

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the Farolito Senior Community in Albuquerque’s East Gateway! 🏡🎉

This project brings 82 beautiful new affordable homes to our seniors (55+), and is a testament to what we can achieve when we all work together for a stronger, more equitable Albuquerque.

Farolito isn’t just a development; it’s a shining example of true community collaboration in action! We are so proud to have been a part of this vital partnership to increase high-quality, stable housing in our city.

What makes Farolito special?
🐾 Pet-Friendly: Featuring a dedicated dog wash and private dog park.
🍎 Free health screenings and nutrition education through First Nations Community HealthSource.
🏔️ A large courtyard with mountain views and fruit trees.
🛠️ The construction even served as a training site for the YouthBuild Program, helping young New Mexicans kickstart their careers!

From the first sketch to the final ribbon cutting, this project was fueled by a dedicated team of partners who shared a single vision: creating a place where our seniors can live with dignity, independence, and pride on historic Route 66.

Big changes at Gateway West!

We’ve officially completed renovations on all 12 dorm spaces, transforming the facility into a true navigation center focused on dignity and stability.

What’s new for residents?
🚿 Modernized showers & bathrooms
🛏️ New beds, flooring, & fresh paint
🧺 On-site laundry & cellphone charging lockers
💻 A new computer lab for job & housing searches
🎲 Community space for shared meals, classes, & social connection

The impact is already happening!

At our resource fair this week, 42 providers were on-site to help residents move forward. For the first time ever, the MVD and a notary were on-site to process 48 replacement IDs and 20 birth certificates, removing one of the biggest barriers to housing in a single day! 📄✅

With federal funding secured we ensure our commitment for future facility upgrades and expanded behavioral health support. We’re continuing our commitment to meeting the needs of our community.
