Mayor Tim Keller has officially proclaimed September 2026 as Recovery Month in Albuquerque, honoring the thousands of residents living in recovery from addiction and recognizing the organizations, providers, and loved ones who support them.

The proclamation kicks off a month of citywide celebration anchored by two signature events from Albuquerque Celebrates Recovery: an art show running all month long and the 11th annual Recovery Main Event on September 24.

We recently released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a qualified nonprofit or governmental agency to deliver comprehensive behavioral health and substance use services directly inside Gateway West – the City’s largest emergency shelter and service hub for people experiencing homelessness, serving an average of 600 people per night.

HHH Director Gilbert Ramírez attended and supported the softball games this weekend at Grant Middle School to launch a Recovery Softball League!

More than 50 players took to the field to launch the Recovery Softball League, with support from the Department of Health, Housing & Homelessness

We were honored to spend the day at Saranam's beautiful campus to celebrate the collective dedication to housing stability, and the federal dollars that made it possible.

It was truly inspiring to hear the stories of how our partners are helping veterans, youth, families, and communities not just survive, but thrive.

HHH is immensely grateful to Representative Stansbury for supporting the Gateway Young Adult Housing and Treatment Navigation Center, as well as future plans for senior housing services - an identified need in our city!

Bring your backyard fruits, veggies, herbs, and flowers to share in food boxes for your community.

Join us for Mayor Keller’s State of the City this Saturday, August 15 at 4:30 PM at the Route 66 Visitor Center! Enjoy local brews, food, live music and performances, and get an up-close look at the trucks and vehicles that help keep our city running. Admission is free and all are welcome!

Over the last weekend of July and into August, we didn’t slow down – we showed up.

Across four community events in three days, HHH and a wide network of allies reached hundreds of families with back-to-school supplies, health and social services resources, haircuts, and hands-on support to make sure every child starts the new school year strong. Each event was different, but the theme was the same: This community cares.

We’ve partnered with CABQ's Health, Housing & Homelessness to collect back to school items for the children of Gateway Family now through August 9 in APC’s Great Room!

Gateway Family supports families experiencing homelessness with housing, employment, school, and early childhood services. At any given time, Gateway Family serves about 120 children. Help us ensure they start the school year ready to learn!

Here is a list of supplies needed:

- #2 pencils (wooden or mechanical)
- blue or black pens
- red pens
- pink erasers
- highlighters
- pencil sharpeners
- pencil pouches/cases
- composition notebooks
- spiral notebooks
- wide & college-ruled notebook paper
