New Mexico EPSCoR

New Mexico EPSCoR New Mexico's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research is funded by the NSF to build the state's capacity to conduct scientific research.

New Mexcio EPSCoR is the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. We are investing in critical facilities, faculty, and equipment; increasing the size and diversity of the STEM workforce; building new interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaborations; and developing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. We envision New Mexico as a state that has achieved energy self-sufficiency in a sustainable manner through its research and development enterprise, that has a strong STEM pipeline between community colleges and the research universities, and that supports a culture of entrepreneurship that promotes innovation and new business and economic development.

Do you know what collective impact is?
Collective impact is the commitment of cross-sector teams to a common agenda for solving a complex social problem. Five core elements characterize collective impact initiatives: backbone support, a common agenda, continuous communication, mutually reinforcing activities, and shared measurement.

NAPE led the Intermountain STEM Network in using collective impact to broaden participation in STEM and CTE through a multi-state systems approach.

We are honored by this post. :D

We are proud of the work produced by our summer interns from Navajo Technical University - Main Campus for the New Mexico EPSCoR. Here is a poster by a student, Phaizon, who experimented with the soil and water on our farm.

This is why we do what we do as an education farm: to encourage students to become the researchers, educators, scientists, and leaders in our communities. You can see more of the interns' posters using this link:
