Raindrop Albuquerque 's Message on Violence in the Holy Land...

We are deeply saddened by ongoing violence and the tragic loss of life in the Holy Land.

We call on all parties to de-escalate the situation and address the root causes of the continuous violence in the region, including the forced eviction of Palestinian families.

We hope and pray that political and religious leaders in the region and globally can come together to initiate genuine steps toward lasting peace.

Unequal, degrading and inhumane treatment of Palestinians and the use of disproportionate force and airstrikes by the Israeli Defense Forces that result in civilian deaths, including children, are wrong and cannot be condoned or justified.
Rocket attacks on Israeli residential neighborhoods by Hamas that results in the death of civilians also is wrong and cannot be condoned or justified.

Historically, the Holy Land witnessed long periods in which Jews, Christians and Muslims lived in interfaith peace. We believe that peace is possible today as well.

Respecting international law, ensuring equal and dignified treatment for Palestinians, rejecting all forms of violence to achieve political goals, and engaging in dialogue to develop empathy for the suffering of others are critical to the way forward.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Palestinian and Israeli families whose loved ones lost their lives.
We pray for peace and tranquility in this region, which is held Holy by each of the Abrahamic religions.

Raindrop Albuquerque is extremely saddened by the senseless terror attack and denounce any act of this kind. Terrorism and hatred have no place in any religion or belief. Our thoughts are with the people of Austria and all those affected by it. Please see our full statement below...
#ViennaTerrorAttack

Raindrop Albuquerque’ s Message of Condemnation and Condolences for Terror Attack in Vienna

November 5, 2020– Before the wounds from the brutal attack in Paris are healed, terrorism resurfaced with all its atrocity in Vienna, claiming the lives of four innocent people and leaving many others injured.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the people of Austria, especially the relatives and loved ones of those who lost their lives. We pray for the quick recovery of the injured.

Every human was created as worthy, and every human life is sacred no matter their beliefs. The Holy Qur’an clearly stipulates that the murder of a single human being is a crime before God that is as despicable as killing all of humanity.

Aggression and violence is not the way of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and even if such violence is perpetrated with a religious guise, it cannot be reconciled with the spirit of Islam! A Muslim who seeks God’s approval in his actions can never be a terrorist; those who exploit religion and guise their atrocities as “jihad” cannot remain a Muslim!

In our day, we need Muslims that are committed to God’s approval and His contentment to represent the real Islam lived by the Prophet, which, in its essence is shaped by sympathy, compassion, kindness and humaneness.

Therefore, we strongly condemn this heinous attack and any other form of terrorism, which are nothing but blemishes thrown on the merciful face of Islam. May God, the Most Compassionate, never put us through such atrocities and may he remove all the obstacles on the way to peace—the common goal of all religions.

Our statement on #Minneapolis and #georgesfloyd #GeorgeFloydProtests

May 30, 2020 – The tragic death of George Floyd during a police intervention in Minneapolis has saddened the nation and triggered a wave of protests in numerous cities. Unfortunately, this is the latest in a long line of appalling deaths across the United States. As a nation, we grieve for this loss of precious life. Each and every life is equally valuable, and every person should be treated with dignity. Seeing anyone as lesser or less worthy of humane treatment is wrong.

Now, we must learn from this tragedy by examining the realities of our society and working together to overcome the prejudice and history that has led us to this point. Every effort must be taken to prevent future tragedies by raising our collective consciousness and developing empathy. Dialogue among diverse segments of our society is a critical component of the effort to heal the wounds that have re-opened.

It is imperative for all individuals and groups who express their anger over this tragedy to act with heightened restraint. Vandalism and arson undermine the civilized debate that our society needs to have on long-standing legitimate concerns.

We pray that these difficult days will lead to a heightened awareness and collaborative efforts for healing our social wounds and strengthening our bonds.

We are deeply saddened by the horrific news of mass shootings that left 34 people dead and injured many others in El Paso, Dayton and Chicago this past weekend. Our prayers are with the families, relatives and friends of the victims, which have been devastated by this brutal act of terror and murder.

We firmly condemn these senseless attacks which are not aimed at only El Pasoan, Daytonian or Chicagoan people, but at all humanity and universal human values. Besides, these attacks are reminders for us that it is more important than ever to stand in solidarity against violence, hate, and terror, and to work together to build a future free of such hatred.

In the wake of this heartbreaking tragedy, we should remember that every human is created with dignity by God and every human life is equally valuable. We hope and pray that these tragic incidents urge us to foster dialogue, mutual respect and internalization of our common humanity, and rehabilitate those whose lives are driven by hate. We also hope and pray that humanity can come together to marginalize and eventually root out all totalitarian ideologies that use violence as a weapon.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives and friends of those who lost their lives and we wish fast recovery to those who were injured.

We are deeply saddened by the devastating news of explosions in Sri Lanka that killed 359 and left at least 450 wounded. We firmly condemn this horrific attack, which turned a day meant for the celebration of Easter by Christians around the world into bloodshed.

These senseless attacks are not aimed at Sri Lankan people or Christians, but at all humanity. They are meant to add another incident to the cycle of violence that target peace, tranquility and solidarity of humanity.

In the wake of this heartbreaking tragedy, we should remember that every human is created with dignity by God and every human life is equally valuable. We hope and pray that this tragic incident urges us to foster dialogue, mutual respect and internalization of our common humanity, and rehabilitate those whose lives are driven by hate. We also hope and pray that humanity can come together to marginalize and eventually root out all totalitarian ideologies that use violence as a weapon.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to families and relatives of the victims and to the people of Sri Lanka and offer our prayers for fast recovery to those who were wounded.
