Thank you to ServePro for recognizing the families of our fallen heroes on Metro 2. At tonight’s game, all the families received a beautiful coin in honor of their loved one. We appreciate the opportunity to attend the game as a first responder family alongside the Bernalillo County Fire Department.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we honor first responders Michael Levison, Matthew King, Larry Koren, and Fred Beers at today’s New Mexico Bowl. All four first responders were tragically killed in a helicopter crash in mid-July while assisting fire crews in New Mexico.
The coins we used to honor them have each hero’s badge number engraved. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of these great men.” - SERVPRO

On 12/4/22, Deputies responded to 826 Arthur Dr. SW for a call regarding an assault with a firearm. Units arrived and were unable to immediately contact the victim; after PA’s, she exited and confirmed violent felony charges and stated the offender, Leon Salazar (41), was barricaded inside a closet with 2 fi****ms. The victim escaped without her 2-year-old daughter, and it was learned there were 4 other adults inside. The offender and the other adults refused to exit, and a SWAT activation was authorized. At that time, the child was rescued, and the additional adults came out. After 11 + hours of negotiation, the offender attempted to flee and was captured by BCSO SWAT. The scene was turned over to investigators, and Leon Salazar was charged with aggravated assault on a household member, child abuse, false imprisonment, and battery on a household member.

On Friday, December 2, 2022, helicopter pilots from across the country attended the sixth annual Bob Martin Helicopter Safety Stand-Down at Balloon Fiesta Park. In 2012, Bob Martin, a reporter, and pilot with KRQE News 13 started an initiative to bring together helicopter operators from throughout the state to discuss safety issues or concerns. In 2017, Bob Martin was killed in a helicopter crash in Lincoln County, NM. Undersheriff Larry Koren wanted to keep the event going and renamed it in Bob Martin’s honor. This year, the conference remembered Bob Martin and the fallen heroes of the Metro 2 helicopter crash, including Undersheriff Larry Koren, Lieutenant Fred Beers, Deputy Michael Levison, and Rescue Specialist Matthew King. BCSO has been hosting the conference since 2017 and has continued to grow from about 30-40 people in attendance to over 150 this year, including military, law enforcement, news agencies, business operators, medical transport, and students in the helicopter aviation industry. The conference was a one-day event with 8-10 speakers presenting topics from new technologies, mountain rescue, effects of fatigue, and how to work with multiple agencies. Presenters included representation from FLIR, Bell Helicopter, the Helicopter Safety Alliance, and several local speakers. The conference sponsorships included the City of Albuquerque, Bell, Airbus, FLIR, NM DOT Aviation, UNMH, Vertical Limit Aviation, Calibers Shooting Range, MHQ, Central Grill, Kaufman’s, Randolph Engineering, Juggernaut Defense, Sandia Casino, and Texas Roadhouse. Thank you to all participants, award recipients, sponsors, and organizers for the success of this wonderful conference!

IM PRETTY SURE THIS DEPARTMENT IS GUILTY OF THE INTENTIONAL MURDER OF JAMES BOYD AND WENT UP THERE KNOWING THEY WANTED TO DO ANYTHING BUT SEE HIM LIVE. YOU MUST KNOW THESE CRIMINALS TO KNOW THEM

Prayer,

Let those quality intentions remember that when they here hard things from viruses me that they remember to dig in. What are they going to do and how are they going to respond when that situation comes down that the criminal us the guy above them? That the criminal us guy who taught them procedures which steal from good people? Who am I going to be prepared with to obtain quick help when my teammates or commander or judge allowed things I suddenly realize now is crime. Do I cross that line? Why?
There is nothing heroic about men and women who change history and cannot succeed in the real world. There is nothing quality about men and women who live a augmented reality of who cares about them and who doesn't. Quality builds legends especially when the men and women around you press on you and you have aid from another department in another city or jurisdiction or you have the fire department or aid from a place those around you did not teach you.
When they want you to do crime to your countrymen with a seatbelt ticket or some other human disrespect that the police have become, where am I going to turn to obtain salvation before the criminals dressed like me impose their life on me.

Sincerely,
Lukis Cruz
This guy is in Albuquerque working for a company called Love Nest Tree Service and is known to carry a gun and is a reported Opoid user We got a call from Indiana asking for info after my son told us of his activities.
Watch a video of one of your guys pulling over a black female ICE officer. Review the tape and she asked POLITELY what did she do wrong. This thin skinned emotional scared cop was gonna cry because he thought she gave an attitude. He shouldn't acted this way, he probably got beat up in school and now he is a boy with a badge and a butt full of emotions. He offered to review the tape of how she asked and she said she would like to see it. He didn't play it back because he knows he was wrong. He just didn't like a black federal agent questioning him. What is wrong with this coward. Fire him before he does something bad because someone of color asked him a question. COWARD!!
Stolen in Abq been sited several times in Bernalillo . May have had rims changed to stock ; But the decals are a give away . Please contact Police if sited .
Make no mistake, Manny Gonzales does not care for your safety or constitutional rights. Manny Gonzales is thinking only of his own publicity and a Trump-like fiasco in the years to come.
https://www.abqjournal.com/1529284/sheriff-gets-national-attention-pushback-for-stance-on-public-health-orders.html

Stay tuned for another publicity stunt from Gonzales as he runs for Mayor or Congress and declares no one has to take the vaccines. Sheriff Manny Gonzales needs to just stop the pandering, stop his “truth decay”, and stop undermining the public health orders. Gonzales acts as if his badge gives him a license to practice law without a license by declaring fully legal public health orders as “unconstitutional”. He is a throwback to law enforcement thinking they are above the law. Sheriff Gonzales is using the exact same inflammatory rhetoric and tactics as right-wing extremist use to set aside the health orders.
Thank you for standing up for us!!
YOU ARE A DO*****AG.
I don’t post much on FB but I needed to give a huge shoutout to Derrick and Angelina with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department!! They passed on an act of kindness to us while we were at Target today that they deserve to be recognized for!! 🥰 I wish I knew more than just their names but if I can have everyone I know and everyone that sees this send out a virtual hug and a thank you I hope that it would somehow reach them! Thank you again to Derrick and Angelina and may you both get your kindness back a hundred million times over!! I will continue to find ways to pass your generosity on to others!
