With winter break in full swing, Keep ABQ Beautiful’s new game is a great way to keep learning with the whole family!

Check out how Keep ABQ Beautiful is working with the city to "gamify" recycling education 🎮♻️
More great efforts to share from America Recycles Day! KAB affiliate Keep ABQ Beautiful launched a new online recycle/waste sorting game called “Know What to Throw.” They hope it helps educate residents to cut back on wishful recycling while enabling them to properly dispose of their waste.

You can find the game linked here: http://ow.ly/z54z50LHcLr

Let's go Ice Wolves! 🏒

We appreciate the New Mexico Ice Wolves’ partnership with our Keep ABQ Beautiful team to promote sustainability across our city.

Homelessness is not a one-size-fits-all situation, nor should our response to it be. We're helping our community every day with outreach, shelter stays, & transitioning families from shelters to housing. http://cabq.gov/homeless

Today marks a year since ACS launched its first group of Behavioral Health Responders! We are thankful for the growing support and partnerships we've created along the way. Hitting this milestone, we have also reached over 15,000 calls for service and have diverted over 8,000 calls from Albuquerque Police Department.
We look forward to continuing this journey while expanding a new public safety approach. Check out our latest monthly report here bit.ly/acs-922. Stay tuned for our first yearly report! Family & Community Services Keep ABQ Beautiful Albuquerque Fire Rescue HopeWorks Heading Home NM Mayor Tim Keller
Throwing hazardous waste in the trash or recycling bin puts Albuquerque Solid Waste Keep ABQ Beautiful workers in danger! They have had 7 truck fires this year because of this.

You can drop hazardous waste off at
6137 Edith NE (on west side of Edith between Montano and Osuna) at no extra charge.

This includes:

Flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, oil-based paints, or kerosene
Hazardous materials, including items such as ammonia, bleach, pool chemicals, pesticides, paint thinners, etc.

Cylinders containing compressed gas such as oxygen, propane, helium, acetylene, or fire extinguishers

Rechargeable batteries containing heavy metals including lithium, nickel-cadmium, or lead-acid
Ashes from fireplaces, fire pits, or barbeque grills
Come by Fuse Makerspace for Keep ABQ Beautiful’s annual Fixit Clinic! This is a great opportunity to learn how to fix and maintain belongings instead of sending them to the landfill.

Register today. ⬇️
Follow Keep ABQ Beautiful for tips and tricks to reduce plastic use this month!
