Thank you, Rotary Club of Albuquerque del Sol for welcoming Jennifer to today’s meeting! 💙

We’re grateful for Rotary Del Sol’s continued support and the opportunity to connect with people who care deeply about children in our community.

Today, Rotary Del Sol welcomed Jennifer from NM Kids Matter - CASA to share how Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) support children in foster care—with consistent advocacy, encouragement, and a commitment to making their voices heard.

We heard about the organization’s growing impact, new training initiatives, and its recognition as the 2026 Corazón de Cultura Award winner for Best Nonprofit!

We also celebrated some news close to home: our own Meredith Eisenberg has joined New Mexico Kids Matter as Community Engagement Director after serving on its board.

Thank you to Bradbury Stamm Construction and Albuquerque Community Foundationfor including us in this year’s educational nonprofit grants.

CASA volunteers show up for kids in all kinds of ways, including helping make sure they have what they need to succeed in school.

This support helps us recruit and train more of those volunteers.

A huge THANK YOU to the Rotary Club of Albuquerque del Sol for supporting NMKM and the incredible work of our CASA Program! It is an honor to stand among such worthy missions!

At our meeting on Thursday, we were honored to distribute $56,000 in grants to eight outstanding nonprofit organizations, each working to improve the lives and futures of New Mexico children and families.

Their work spans family support, foster care advocacy, literacy, STEM education, the arts, science learning, and programs for underserved and at-risk youth.

This year also marks an incredible milestone: since 2022, our Rotary Del Sol Foundation has now given more than $302,000 to support children’s welfare in New Mexico. What began with the ambitious goal of building a $1 million corpus has become a lasting source of impact for our community.

To our donors, members, volunteers, and nonprofit partners: thank you for making this possible. Together, we are investing in brighter futures for New Mexico’s children.

Our Mission at New Mexico Kids Matter is to advocate for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering community volunteers to speak up for them in the foster care system.
Our CASA Volunteers serve as a person they can count on for compassion, guidance, advocacy, and information.
