In 1984, ARCA opened the La Paloma Greenhouse, creating a horticulture-focused work site and another opportunity for individuals to build skills through meaningful work. 💚💛

Over the years, the greenhouse grew into an important part of ARCA and remains a familiar part of our community today.

More than 40 years later, La Paloma continues to grow more than plants. It continues to grow opportunities.

Mark had an exciting surprise recently when he saw his name in the newspaper! 💚🏈

A longtime Lobos fan and season-ticket holder, Mark was interviewed about the upcoming football season and shared his excitement about cheering on the team.

Mark was proud to see his name in the newspaper and excited to share the recognition with others.

In 1979, we continued to open doors to greater independence and community connection. 💚💛

As community-based living grew, individuals had more opportunities to make their own choices, work, and take part in everyday life in their communities.

A 1979 Albuquerque News article captured a glimpse of this changing landscape, including life in an ARCA group home and the growing opportunities available to individuals with disabilities.

It was another step toward greater independence, connection, and opportunity for the individuals we serve.

Through community-based homes, individuals had opportunities to build independence while sharing everyday life with roommates, from preparing meals and taking care of their home to working and spending time in the community.

It was an important step in creating more opportunities for individuals to live, grow, and build meaningful lives in the communities they call home.

Ricky enjoys staying active in his community and spending time with family and friends. What a fun night at ARCA! 🎤💚

Our Karaoke Night brought staff and individuals together for an evening of music, laughs, and plenty of karaoke. We also presented our annual ARCA on the Move awards, recognizing staff and individuals for their accomplishments.
